NSU University Singers to perform ‘Game of Tones’ concert – Oct. 16

(Tahlequah, Oklahoma) -- The Northeastern State University Singers are preparing to take the stage with their first concert of the semester, entitled “Game of Tones.” The concert will take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 16 in the Center for the Performing Arts.

The concert will include a variety of pieces that reflect different characters and places of the popular television show, “Game of Thrones.”

Jeffery Wall, chair of the Department of Music and director of Choral Activities, anticipates that the concert will be an enjoyable experience.

“I think the music we’ve chosen and the way the University Singers will perform it evokes the spirit of the places and characters from the HBO series perfectly. It will be a fun concert,” Wall said.

The University Singers are very excited to present their rather unique repertoire to the public.

Lacey Franklin, sophomore, second year University Singer, and soprano section leader, says that its uniqueness is what will make the concert an unforgettable one.

“I’ve never seen a choral concert based off of a TV series before, so I think this will be interesting for audience members of all ages to hear the music, especially those who have seen and/or appreciate the series,” Franklin said.

The concert is free and open to the public. However, donations are accepted. For more information, call Wall at 918-444-2715 or visit www.nsumusic.com.
